Take power away from the NRA

It is time for members of Congress to say 'no” to funding from the National Rifle Association.
How do we allow the voice of the NRA to be heard over the voices of grieving families? It is said that the NRA protects our Second Amendment rights. We all know that it is not about constitutional rights. It's about money. The NRA defends the interests of gun manufacturers, not the American people.
There is a glut of guns in this country available to anyone, legally or illegally. It is this sick culture of guns that leads to the insanity of a school massacre.
That is why politicians and political parties need to stop being puppets for the NRA. In my opinion, that makes many members of Congress complicit in these bloody massacres. Why do we allow the NRA to have so much power? We need to stop their filthy funding.
And I will add this comment to our gun-happy legislators in Des Moines. Do you think this can't happen here? Perhaps you can find more creative ways to serve the majority of Iowans.
