Letter: Better options exist for Cooper’s Mill

At a time when Willis Dady Shelter, Waypoint, veterans and others are scrambling for money to help homeless and with Iowa offering tax breaks for affordable housing that include units for homeless, our city is about to tear down Cooper's Mill motel at a cost of $350,000 or so.
The motel was completely renovated in 2009. I'm sure there could be a better plan.
