Work together to revolve issues
The Gazette Opinion Staff

It's time for change within our federal government. They wait until the last minute to get serious about the budget. Then the “us versus them” talk takes over. It looks to the citizens like our senators and representatives lose sight of what we the people would like, and concentrate more on our party versus their party.
Forget the party affiliation nonsense and work together to resolve our ongoing issues. Budget should be resolved early in the fiscal year, not last minute. It might also be time to look at term limits at the federal level. That would wake them up to begin working for the people.
Once you, our senators and representatives, take care of our business, you should consider resigning.
