TheGazette.com will host a live chat at noon today on the topic of race and arrests in Cedar Rapids with Police Chief Greg Graham and Rita Robinson, an officer with the Cedar Rapids branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).
Reporter Erin Jordan will moderate and answer any questions about a story last week in about race and arrests. The story looked at a new computer tracking system Cedar Rapids police plan to implement to make sure officers are not profiling people by race or gender, as well as efforts to recruit more minority officers.
