My granddaughter and daughter were in a salon getting the little one's hair trimmed. A lady also getting a trim commented to my 5-year-old granddaughter: 'I hope you don't get your hair cut as short as your moms'.”
Her mom is a recovering cancer patient, having battled valiantly against breast cancer for the last 6 months. She not only lost all body hair, but other body parts in the process. She has been a soldier in this fight, as have most people that touch her life. Thank you to the doctors and co-workers who have helped her on this journey … thank you, Cedar Rapids. Shame on the lady and her comments.
Cedar Rapids is a good place, which doesn't need hurtful comments. Come on.
