Letter: The benefits of privatizing Congress
John Carver
Jan. 19, 2017 12:00 am
No need to go elsewhere when privatization is the go-to solution. Nothing is off the table - health care, schools, social security and prisons, to name a few.
One source is never discussed. Privatization of Congress! It may be surprising, but it makes sense. The benefit of privatization is cutting costs. The salaries, health care, forever pensions, vacations and other Congressional benefits can be eliminated. And not to worry about a term expiring.
The next logical step is to retire our Congressional representatives and let the business model carry forward.
