VENUS ATHENA (DARLING) HARGETT
Tuscumbia, Ala.
Venus Athena (Darling) Hargett, 57, of Tuscumbia, Ala., and formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019.
A visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel on Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel in Tuscumbia, Ala.
She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Brooks; son, Jeremiah Hargett; brothers, Dean Darling (Judy), Brian Darling and Steve Darling; sisters, Angela Lopez (Hector) and Danielle Tippy (Nathan); mother, Shirley Darling; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Stephen Darling.
Memorials can be made to ASPCA, Colbert County Animal Shelter and St. Jude's.
