Iowa running back Marcus Coker is 90-1 to win the Heisman Trophy; Northwestern's Dan Persa is 95-1

Anyhow, something pulled me toward Bodog.com's odds for winning the Heisman Trophy. I did not expect to see an Iowa player listed. But Marcus Coker, on the heels of trampling Missouri in the Insight Bowl last December with 219 rushing yards, is listed among 38 players. At 90 to 1.

Now, what are the odds a sophomore running back from Iowa wins the Heisman? Oh wait again, I just told you. It's 90 to 1.

Of those 38 players listed, the only one with longer odds than Coker is Northwestern quarterback Dan Persa, he who was so brilliant in the fourth quarter of Northwestern's 21-17 win over Iowa last November. Persa is 95 to 1.
