Nancy K. Turner, 79, of Marion, died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hope Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids, by Pastor Dan Clark-Bridges. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Lee J. Turner; her daughters, Kathy McLees of Hiawatha, Christine (Kenneth) Freeman of Goodyear, Ariz., and Amanda (Timothy) Hedgpeth of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Sharon Bush of Oelwein; two brothers, Delmar Bear of Marion and Donald (Colleen) Bear of Waterloo; her grandchildren, Dan Caraway, Rob Caraway, Briana McLees, Jacob McLees and Christina Gustin; and her great- grandchildren, Alexandra Van Trump, Richard Kornafel III and Reign Kornafel.
She was preceded in death by her son, James Edward Turner, and her parents.
Nancy was born April 16, 1936, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Delmar and Ruth (McGuire) Bear. She married Lee J. Turner on Sept. 27, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Nancy was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker, always putting her family first. She enjoyed baking, reading and puzzles.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
