Mayme M. Strachota, 90, of Toledo, formerly of Tama and Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, April 15,
2014, at Premier Estates (Carrington Place) of natural causes. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 21, at Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine by Pastor Mike Hernandez. Private committal services will be at National Cemetery, Vining. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Mayme is survived by a daughter, Gloria (Harry) Hlas of Clutier; a son, Jim (Diane) Strachota of Arvada, Colo.; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Sokol Riha; and sisters, Elsie Koutney, Agnes Sedlacek and Gladys Hubka.
