Garbage truck fire clogs I-380 north of Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS – Northbound traffic on Interstate 380 north of Cedar Rapids jammed after a garbage truck caught fire Wednesday morning.
No one was injured when the fire started in the engine compartment of the truck about a mile south of the Toddville exit.
As of 11:45 a.m., one lane of northbound traffic was open, but motorists were crawling for a couple miles.
By 1:15 p.m., all lanes of northbound I-380 had reopened, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation.
