Well, Folks, Iowa is now No. 1 in the nation. I am wondering if our governor is proud of the fact that she has led us to the position of most COVID-19 cases per capita in the U.S.
Exhibiting a total disregard for internationally renowned epidemiologists at the University of Iowa, our governor said 'No” to their offer of assistance early in the COVID crisis. In an obvious attempt to impress the president and follow his attitude of avoidance, our governor has made terrible decisions: failing to require important safety measures while imposing directives on Iowans that are dangerous.
Regrettably, the governor is not up for reelection this fall. But legislators are. We need to elect legislators who will challenge the folly of the current governor and make Iowa a safe home again. Elect Christian Andrews in House District 95. Elect Eric Green in State Senate District 48. Unless you know of a Republican who can think for him/herself and challenge the governor's faulty thinking, elect Democrats.
