Lavon "Bonnie" Kale, 86, passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at Cottage Grove Place in Cedar Rapids. A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Jan. 30 at
Cedar Memorial Park
Chapel of Memories, with one hour of visitation before the start of the
service.
Bonnie was born Oct. 15, 1927, to Mervil and Edith (Lovell) Rich in Lincoln Township, Allamakee
County, Iowa. On July 25, 1953, Bonnie married Robert Kale in Cedar Rapids, where they both worked for Rockwell Collins for more than 30 years.
Bonnie is survived by her son, Ronald Kale of La
Crosse, Wis.; daughter, Sharon (David) Wallman of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four sisters, Frieda North of Cedar Rapids, Avis Serovy of Solon, Wanda Blake of Marion and Nell Driscoll of Cedar Rapids; two grandsons, Ronald and Jeremy Kale, both of La Crosse; and four great- grandchildren.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Kale; four brothers, Ray, Harry, Marion and Ernest; and two sisters, Idabel Rich and Maxine Harris.
