Dunagan, Carl D.
Carl D. Dunagan, 78, passed into the hands of our Lord, Jan. 29, 2012, at his Cedar Rapids home surrounded by his loved ones. He fought a lengthy battle with multiple illnesses. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, at the Community of Christ Church, 1500 Blairs Ferry Rd., Hiawatha, Iowa.
Carl was a former police detective with the Des Moines Police Department and a veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; a son, Michael Dunagan; daughter, Michelle (Al) Steil; granddaughter, Ashleigh Steil of the Cedar Rapids Police Department; a grandson, Blake Steil a senior at Grandview University; and a sister, Delores Scully of Des Moines.
We loved him more than words can say A light went out on earth and heaven became brighter still.
