Royal James Hastings, 11-day-old son of Gregory and Lacey, went to heaven peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018. Friends may visit with the family at Teahen Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:30 to 6 p.m., where a memorial service will be held at 6 p.m.
Royal is survived by his parents, Gregory and Lacey of Fairfax; proud big sister, Stella; two brothers, Blake and Quintin Hastings, both of Cedar Falls; grandparents, Patricia Hastings of Cedar Rapids, and Dixie and Scott Krause of Tucson, Ariz.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandpa, James Hastings.
Royal's family would like to thank the amazing staff for the excellent care they received at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids and at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.
