Texas' Mack Brown talks up Iowa football program
Apr. 24, 2010 11:41 am
Texas Coach Mack Brown served as a guest analyst for NFL Network's draft coverage this weekend. When Indianapolis selected Pat Angerer in the second round on Friday night, Brown unprompted spoke glowingly about Iowa's football program.
"We played Iowa in the 2006 Alamo Bowl. They were as well-coached and as fundamentally sound as any college defense we've seen," Brown said. "Kirk (Ferentz) does a tremendous job. Those defensive coaches have them playing low, playing with leverage and man do they play hard."
Texas beat Iowa 26-24 in that game. Iowa is 2-0 in bowl games since that loss.
