UNI advances, beats Wyoming

SEATTLE — Northern Iowa advanced to the NCAA tournament's third round with a decisive 71-54 win against Wyoming on Friday afternoon.
The Panthers (31-3) set a school record with their 31st win. They led by 21 early in the second half, then absorbed a 14-0 Wyoming run before pulling together for the win.
Paul Jesperson led UNI with 16 points. Seth Tuttle added 14 points and nine rebounds for the Panthers.
It was UNI's fourth NCAA tournament win since 1990 and its largest margin of victory.
Northern Iowa will face the Louisville/Cal-Irvine winner on Sunday.
