Joni Ernst’s combat record is accurate

To the editor:
I find it interesting that some of the left/liberals are challenging Sen. Joni Ernst about her military service saying that she wasn't really in a combat situation. I'm here to tell you that she saw more combat situations than many of the military personnel in the Mideast. It bothers me that those who have no idea what a combat situation is have the gall to challenge those who have been there.
If the left and their liberal lackeys in the press want to make a fuss about someone not being in a combat war zone, why not challenge Hillary Clinton (running from sniper fire in Iraq), Tom Harkin (flying combat missions in Vietnam) and now the Veterans Affairs secretary about his service record. All of which are proven to be lies. Do not claim to be a combat veteran when you ae not. That is a shameful act.
