Roberta (Bert) Davison, 89, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, April 12, 2015, at Cottage Grove Place in Cedar Rapids. Memorial services will held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories officiated by the Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Robert Davison; two sons, Rick (Jean) Davison and Randy (Sally) Davison, all of Cedar Rapids; and four grandchildren, Tiffany, Bradley (Amanda), Patricia and Christina (Chris).
Roberta Davison was born Sept. 4, 1925, in Centerville, Iowa, to Jessie and Florence (Hill) Harter. She graduated from Centerville High School and received a bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa. She was united in marriage to Robert Clark Davison on Feb. 8, 1948, in Centerville. Roberta was past state president of the Iowa Chapter of AAUW, a member of PEO, a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and active
member of the Linn County Trails Association. She was also an enthusiastic Iowa Hawkeye fan and was proud to have been one of the first two women to serve as an officer in the Linn County "I" Club.
She enjoyed her home and family, as well as sewing, crafting, especially cross stitch, and was an avid bridge player. Roberta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She will be missed by all who loved her.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Roberta's name may be directed to the Linn County Trails Association.
