Centrist can’t get behind Bernie Sanders

Democrats are screwed. I'm a left-leaning centrist and I cannot get behind Bernie Sanders. It's not the fact he's a 'democratic socialist,” it's just the fact that a lot of what he's seeking to do is very idealistic, but intangible. In politics, pragmatism severely matters and he is not pragmatic. He's idealistic and very much a visionary. Some of his ideas, given the financial problems in this country, are not going to work. Values judgments don't bother me, but when that's all I hear and no tangible solutions, that's when I am skeptical and cynical.
Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, Al Gore, and others need to get behind moderates and start taking this race seriously. I would vote for Pete Buttigieg over Joe Biden, and Mike Bloomberg over Biden. But, when it comes to Pete and Bloomberg, it's tough. I'm not anti-capitalist, because capitalism has made this nation and the west what it is today. It helped us win the Second World War, spawned scientific innovation and Silicon Valley, and has taken us to space and beyond. To put it bluntly, capitalism never had the intent of being fair. Survival of the fittest and the decisions you make in life.
