Letter: Improve visibility of camera signs

City officials insist that the speed cameras on Interstate 380 are for safety, while critics assert they are a money grab.
There's a straightforward way for the city to prove its intentions:
l Instead of the existing tiny, easy-to-miss 'Photo Enforced” signs, erect very large, very visible signs warning of traffic cameras ahead. Such signs will cause even unsuspecting out-of-town drivers to slow down.
l The city should designate 100 percent of their revenue from the cameras to the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation, which could disperse the funds to worthy organizations.
