Jones Sr., John R.
John R. Jones Sr., 98, of Maquoketa, passed away Aug. 6, 2013, at Maquoketa Care Center. Funeral services to celebrate his life will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at First Lutheran Church, Maquoketa. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lahey Funeral Home in Maquoketa. Burial will be at Elvira Cemetery, Elvira, Iowa, with military honors.
He is survived by a daughter, Barbara Jones of Dubuque; a son, Jack Jones of Maquoketa; three granddaughters; and a sister, Elizabeth (Russell) Haling of Hayward, Wis.
