Rink, Linda Lou
Linda Lou Rink, 69, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church with interment in the Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello. The Rev. Darryl Larson will officiate at the services. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, and after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Surviving is her husband, Bob; her niece, Melinda (Hamilton) Blackshear, Norfolk, Va.; a sister-in-law, Jackie Reth, Suffolk, Va.; Bob's nieces and nephews, Kathy (Kenny) Smith, Pat (Ellen) Rink, Barb (Kenne) Bacon, Rick (Kathy) Evers, Patty (Fred) Timmerman, Cindy (Dave) Weber and Tammy (Ryan) Henneberry; and many great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ernest.
Linda Lou Reth was born Oct. 21, 1944, at the Willard Hospital, Manchester, Iowa. She was the daughter of Martin and Marie Kaufmann Reth. She graduated from the Maquoketa Valley High School in 1962. She continued he education at the Capri Cosmetology College in Waterloo. Linda Lou came to work for a beautician in Monticello for two years before starting her own shop B-Lovley Salon. She later worked at Styling Barn before retiring. Linda Lou Reth and Robert Rink were married Oct. 20, 1979 at the First Lutheran Church, Manchester.
Linda Lou has been a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church since 1998. She was confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran in Delaware. She was also the church organist at the St. Paul Lutheran and at the Lutheran Church in Earlville for many years. She had been active in 4 H and also served as a leader.
Linda Lou and Bob like to go camping and go to craft shows where they sold many items they made. They also belonged to the Monticello Conservation League.
