-- Running back Adam Robinson is expected to practice today, Kirk Ferentz said. Robinson missed the Indiana game with a concussion.
-- Defensive coordinator Norm Parker, who's been out since Sept. 10, was in the football complex Tuesday and will return to work on a limited basis. In September, Parker, 69, had his right foot amputated because of diabetic complications. Parker has been in Cedar Rapids rehabbing since the operation. He returned to his Iowa City home on Friday and was in the office for the first time on Sunday.
Parker will work on a limited basis. Ferentz isn't sure if he'll make the trip to Chicago.
-- Guard Adam Gettis (ankle) has a chance to return, Ferentz said. Gettis got hurt against Michigan State and sat out last week's game at Indiana. "I don't know if it's a good shot or not, but he's got a shot," Ferentz said.
-- RB Marcus Coker got banged around a little bit (hand, rib area), but he should be OK.
-- When senior Jeff Tarpinian (stinger) returns to full speed, Ferentz said he'll likely slide out to outside linebacker. Tarpinian has played on a limited basis the last two weeks. He might go full-time this week. The upshot here is that true freshman James Morris has become the no-holds-barred starter at middle linebacker.
-- DT Mike Daniels is now a full-time starter, pushing Christian Ballard to D-end and Broderick Binns to the second team.
-- Ferentz said the offensive line is as thin as it's been all season with Gettis' injury. Josh Koeppel started in place of Gettis and Nolan MacMillan, who's missed the last three games with a sore neck. "I think he's close," Ferentz said. "He got a lot close last week. He was out there in pregame, but he wasn't quite there. I think we're really close and that would help us a lot." Ferentz described O-line depth as "razor-thin right now."
