Susan "Sue" Bingham, 62, of Shell Rock, died Monday, Sept. 14, 2015, at Unity Point Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.

Sue was born on Dec. 5, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Dorothy Mae Bailey. She was adopted by her grandparents and raised in Springville, Iowa, where Sue graduated from Springville High School in 1971. In 1974, Sue was united in marriage to Michael Friedman at the Little Brown Church in Nashua; the couple would later divorce. On June 17, 1995, Sue was united in marriage to John Bingham in Shell Rock, Iowa. During her life, Sue worked for Walmart, Eckers and G & R Publishing, all in Waverly, retiring in May 2014.

Sue enjoyed camping, fishing and golfing; however, what she enjoyed most was spending time with friends and family.

Sue's memory is honored by three children, Michele (Trent Hudson) Friedman of Dunkerton, Jenny Friedman of Shell Rock and Mark (Holly) Friedman of Shell Rock; five grandchildren, Bailey, Jonny and Sam Hudson and Katelyn and Chase Friedman; two brothers, Rod (Peggy) Bailey of Urbana and Mikel Beaty of Marion; and her beloved cats, Marley and Rodant.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Irene Bailey; her parents; and her husband.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Shell Rock. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Riverside Cemetery in Shell Rock.
