Broxey, Edith M.
Edith M. Broxey, 92, of Cedar Rapids, went to be with the Lord and her husband Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her daughters, Debra (Doug) Broxey-Bramow and Dawn (Dan) Leonard, both of Cedar Rapids; son-in-law, Larry Biley; six grandchildren, Karlea, Cameron, Douglas, Andrew, Denise and Chris; five great-grandchildren, Xavier, Ann, Trent, Tarra and Trisha; many nieces and nephews; and special sister-in-law and best friend, Alice Broxey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; daughter, Karen Biley; two sisters; and three brothers.
Edith was born Jan. 30, 1920, the daughter of Peter and Tillie (Arends) Ludwick, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. On Aug. 8, 1938, she was united in marriage to Charles Broxey. Edith enjoyed spending time with her family.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Edith.
