Jochimsen, Dennis M.
Dennis M. Jochimsen, 55, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Olin, Iowa, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at his home.
A celebration of his life service will be held Monday, June 20, at 7:30 p.m. at Lahey Funeral Home in Olin, where friends may call after 6 p.m.
The family has honored his request and the body was cremated.
Dennis Martin Jochimsen was born May 8, 1956, in DeWitt, Iowa, to Martin A. and Beverly (Clement) Jochimsen. He graduated from Olin High School in 1974 and went on to get his CPA degree from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.
He worked at various accounting offices in the area.
Dennis is survived by his children, Melainie Jochimsen and Trent Jochimsen, both of Cedar Rapids; his parents, Martin and Beverly Jochimsen of Olin; three brothers, Douglas Jochimsen of Cedar Rapids, Alan (Debbie) Jochimsen of Aurora, Ill. and Steven (Jill) Jochimsen of Cedar Rapids; and stepnieces and stepnephews.
Memorials are preferred.
