McKale Victor Morgan, 19, of Lisbon, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at his home following a seizure. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 25, at the United Methodist Church, Lisbon, by the Rev. Tom Mattson. The family will greet friends from 2 until 8 p.m. Sunday, March 24, at the church. Morgan Funeral Choices, Mount Vernon, is in charge of arrangements.
Surviving McKale are his parents, Mike and Dawn; three brothers, Adam (Cari) and their children, Tristan and Ann Marie, of Stanwood, Chase (Val) and their children, Avery, Payton, Rylan, Jocelyn and Gabryella, of Goldsboro, N.C., and twin brother, Marshall of Lisbon; maternal grandparents, Fred and Marlene Himes of Hiawatha; paternal grandmother, Geraldine Morgan of Cedar Rapids; many extended family; and his hunting dog, Gauge.
Preceding him in death were paternal grandfather D.A. Morgan; and grandmother, Eileen Schulte.
McKale was born Sept. 13, 1993, in Cedar Rapids. He would have graduated this May from Monticello High School. McKale earned his Eagle Scout Award on Aug. 14, 2010, with Boy Scout Troop 54 and was a member of the Cho-Gun-Mun-A-Nock Order of the Arrow Lodge. He was an active member of Lisbon United Methodist Church; he considered it his extended family. McKale was a member of 4-H, Pork Center Pioneers of Cedar County; and was well known for the love of his goats. He was the “The Heart Child” of Eastern Iowa Variety Club in 1998.
McKale never met a person he didn't like, and had a million questions for everyone to get to know them.
He loved his classmates, teachers, and helpers at Monticello, Franklin, Arthur, Lisbon, and Handicare.
He gave the best hugs in Eastern Iowa and will be missed dearly by all.
