Albin, Keith I.
Keith I. Albin, 84, of Central City, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 24, 2010. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City, by the Rev. Nick Needham. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial: Mount Clark Cemetery, Central City. Military honors provided by American Legion Wapsi Post 421, Central City.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Donna; a daughter, Wenda (Dennis) Brown of Tiffin, Iowa; four grandchildren, Lynn (Peter) Donahue, Lisa (Jon) Becker, Duane Albin and Kevin Osborn; 11 great-grandchildren, Cody Albin, Mykayla Padgett and Leah Osborn, Connor, Shawn, Erin and Brady Donahue, Drew and Quinn Becker, and Mathew and Tyler Brown; one sister, Marion Woods of Central City; and one brother, Delbert (Joyce) Albin of Palo.
He was preceded in death by his two sons, Howard and Larry Albin; his parents; two brothers, Robert and Wendell Albin; and one sister, Thelma Millard.
Keith was born Feb. 6, 1926, the son of Seth and Verna Albin, in West Branch, Iowa. He proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corps. Once Semper Fi – always Semper Fi. Keith was a member of American Legion Wapsi Post 421, Central City; the North-Linn Fish & Game Club, and the NRA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be designated to Camp Courageous of Iowa, P.O. Box 418, Monticello, IA 52310, or the Ronald McDonald House Charities, One Kroc Dr., Oak Brook, IL 60523.
