WESLEY KOBYLAK JR.
Rochester, N.Y.
Wesley "Butch" Kobylak Jr., 66, passed away July 2, 2015.
He is the son of the late Tech Sgt. Vaclav "Wesley" Kobylak Sr. of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, winner of the Bronze Star in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He also is the son of the late Mildred Ruth Kindig Kobylak of Marion, Iowa, a 35-year employee and award-winning GS12 federal contract writer for the Army, Navy and Air Force.
Surviving are a daughter, Ariel AutumnStar Kobylak, 34, of Philadelphia, employed as a counselor; and a son, Skyland Vaclav Kobylak, 33, of Prague, Czech Republic, where he teaches, translates, interprets, and is employed by the American Embassy in Prague. He also is a popular blues and metal guitarist there.
A devoted father, Wesley taught his children to appreciate art in all its forms, and find the joy in every day life.
It was the deceased's wish that in lieu of donations to charities, those wishing to do so are encouraged to support their local florists and decorate their lives with joyful colors and scents.
