What do buzzwords like "agile" and "lean" mean to your business?
The University of Iowa's John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center will host a two-day agile workshop at the BioVentures Center, 2500 Crosspark Road in Coralville, in January and February, to help businesses answer that question.
"This is for teams that want a quick introduction to Agile fundamentals and are looking for a way to implement them into their unique team environment," writes Jennifer Ott, JPEC Training and Engagement Liaison.
Kent McDonald, the agile practice lead for Georgia-based B2T Training, will teach the workshop.
The first day, Jan. 30, will introduce agile concepts, tools and techniques. The second day, Feb. 20, students will regroup to discuss how they implemented the agile practices and explore next steps.
The workshop costs $349 per person, and tuition assistance is available. For more information, visit the JPEC website or contact Ott.
The agile workshop is just one new training program JPEC has rolled out recently, targeting startups and high-growth businesses.
Dev/Iowa Bootcamp begins next week, and
Venture School, a month long program, begins its statewide expansion with a Des Moines cohort on Feb. 3.
