Gazette Business Excellence Award presentation set for this Thursday

This Thursday The Gazette will present some 40 awards in 20 categories to for-profit and not-for-profit businesses and organizations and individuals at its third-annual Business Excellence Awards.

The banquet, to be held at the Hotel at Kirkwood Center, 7725 Kirkwood Blvd. SW, Cedar Rapids.

Robynn Shrader, CEO of National Co+op Grocers, will give the keynote address on B Corps - certification for for-profit companies that achieve set standards for social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.

Networking will begin at 5:30 p.m., with dinner, the keynote and award presentations to start at 6:30.
