Helle, Roger John
Roger John Helle, 75, of Hopkinton, died April 27, 2010, at Jones Regional Medical Center in Anamosa following a sudden illness. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 1, at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Hopkinton, by the Rev. John Kremer. Family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary service and a 7:30 p.m. Scripture service. Family also will greet friends one hour before services Saturday at the church. Burial will be at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Manchester.
Roger is survived by his wife, Mary Helle of Hopkinton; four children, Steven (Susan) Helle of Fisher, Ill., Bruce (Gail) Helle of Manchester, Angela Glaw of Cedar Rapids and Susan (Bill) Sevart of Manchester; nine grandchildren; one brother, Earl (Alma) Helle of Cedar Rapids; and a sister-in-law, Vera Helle of Winthrop.
