Eldon John Kerkhoff, 99, of Guttenberg, formerly of Dyersville, died Saturday, June 4, 2016, at the Guttenberg Care Center. Visitation will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 9, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave. SW, Dyersville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville, with burial in the SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Petersburg. The Rev. Dennis Quint will officiate.
Eldon was born June 21, 1916, at Petersburg, the son of Alphonse and Susan (Grawe) Kerkhoff.
Survivors include his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Amanda (Edwin) Schmidt, Modesta (Edmund) Overmann and Rita (Arnold and Clarence) Gassmann.
