David Charles Raue, 72, of Marion, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017, at his home. Memorial service: 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at Springville United Methodist Church. Burial: Springville Cemetery at a later date.
Dave was born July 3, 1945, the son of William and Aletha Raue and stepson of Charles Neeley, in Shellsburg, Iowa. Dave worked as an auctioneer. Some of his hobbies included fishing, antiquing, watching NASCAR and telling stories. His greatest treasure was his family and his cat, Milo.
Survivors include his daughter, Penny Sindelar; four grandchildren, Kylee (Jon) Meihost, Kaitlynn Sindelar, Haley (Tyler Ohl) Young and Brian Sindelar; great-granddaughter, Adeline Meihost; three siblings, Rick (Wendy) Raue, Vicky (Matt) Gent and Barb (Larry) Horning; and nieces and nephews, Tracey (Jon) Thompson, Theresa Raue, and Mike (Ashley) Raue and several others.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings, Bill, Bob, Kenny and Jerry.
