Cats at C.R. animal shelter need a home

I visited the cat section of the Cedar Rapids Animal Care and Control some time ago and I am reporting on some of the fine cats represented there in the hope that 50 people will seize the opportunity to befriend and adopt a great animal.
The charming names on their cages often match their personalities, such as Angelina, the sweet quiet one; Danita, the tiger stripe desperately pleading to be taken out; Monty, short, gray hair and so talkative; and his partner, Amy, the long haired gray. Or choose Tinker Bell, playful and fun or Jitterbug. Bogie, patiently waiting, alongside Chatty Cat, Murdoch Monkey, Gisella, Copper, O'Malley, Ribbon, Schemmel, Silverado or Rider.
Elton is one of six or so cats who have signs on their cage stating, “I need you.” They need to be adopted into someone's family, immediately, because they've been there the longest. This is not because of anything wrong with them. On the contrary, these darling pets have simply blended in among all the other cats brought in on a daily basis.
So please, please provide a very grateful cat or dog with a safe home. Don't let the temporary animal facility be their last home on earth.
