Downed line leaves more than 1,100 Alliant customers without power

CEDAR RAPIDS - More than 1,100 homes and businesses were without power late Sunday afternoon in northwest Cedar Rapids.
The outage to 1,125 customers happened shortly after 4 p.m. when a line fell near Ellis Park, Alliant Energy spokeswoman Nancy Craig said. She didn't know why the line came down.
Service had been restored to all of the affected customers by Sunday night.
