Letter: Support Heiden for Johnson supervisor

It is with boundless enthusiasm and great confidence that I endorse Pat Heiden for Johnson County supervisor. She has demonstrated an in-depth ability to run a large and complex organization, and, in addition, she is peerless when it comes to engaging people and delivering exceptional services.

She is clear about the issues key to her candidacy: first, she is dedicated to the creation of real and respectful partnerships across political and community entities; she would, not surprisingly, be a voice in support of issues affecting the elderly; and, finally, she will pursue affordable solutions and care for the mentally ill.

What is most striking to me is her personal character, her intelligence, her compassion and her track record of volunteer service. She is the kind of individual who will tackle difficult issues and get things done in manner that honors and respects the needs of the citizens, businesses and not-for-profits.
