Cedar Rapids’ McGrath Amphitheatre to offer free Wi-Fi

CEDAR RAPIDS - Free Wi-Fi will be available at the McGrath Amphitheatre when the season's events start this weekend at the riverfront outdoor venue, city officials said Thursday.

The Wi-Fi availability is slated to expand to all of downtown by the end of summer.

ImOn Communications is providing the service to the amphitheater site as part of its in-kind donation to the project.

The setup at the amphitheater will allow users to access the Wi-Fi system for a two-hour block of time. Eventually, customers of existing vendors will be able to use the service with no time limit, city officials said.

Uptown Friday Nights starts today at the amphitheater. 'Reggae on the River” featuring Natty Nation will be featured Saturday evening.
