I support Kingsley Botchway for the Iowa City Council at-large seat.
Like many residents of Iowa City, I was drawn here for the university, but I stayed because of the sense of home. Both my mother and father are U.S. Army veterans, which means I have lived in various states, communities, and neighborhoods. I can honestly say I have never felt more at home than I do in Iowa City, and that is largely due to the work Botchway has done to promote inclusion and proper governance in Iowa City.
His campaign's message mirrors his public record and what he has worked toward his entire adult life.
Together. Moving. Forward.
He believes the best way to shape policies that work for everyone is to bring everyone together, to ask for input from all persons and communities within our city. According to Botchway, that inclusion should happen long before we begin to make moves, before we can truly progress and move forward as a community. At a time when so many feel ignored, Botchway is actively reaching out to speak with as many people as he possibly can.
For all these reasons and more, I support Botchway's re-election campaign. He is a proven leader who will continue to do great things for the Iowa City community.
