Three days after two men invaded an apartment at gunpoint, Marion police are seeking the public's help in finding the suspects.
One of the men who forced their way into the apartment at 210 Ridge Dr. Saturday afternoon has been identified as Cody J. Short, 21, Police Chief Harry Daugherty said Tuesday. Short is sought for first-degree burglary in Saturday's incident, which happened about 2 p.m.
One of the men who entered the apartment displayed a handgun. Both men left before police arrived.
Short may be injured, according to Daugherty, who said he couldn't elaborate due to the ongoing investigation. Police haven't determined if anything was taken during the incident.
Short has two outstanding Linn County warrants for probation violations. According to the state's online courts database, he has convictions for drug possession, assault, and domestic assault.
Anyone with information on Short's whereabouts is asked to call Marion police at (319) 377-1511. Anyone providing information that leads to Short's arrest may be eligible for a reward.
