Humbled by selflessness

After reading the front-page story regarding addiction and his son's death, I have to publicly recognize the strength of Jon Jelinek (“Heroin abuse on the rise,” April 19).
The loss he and his family experienced was evident in the photo of him. The fact that he put a face and name with this problem is remarkable. By sharing his information, he allows others to gain from his tragic loss. That is the definition of selflessness, and I am humbled. Blessings to you and your family, Jon.
