Audrey Lenora Knight, 96, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, at Heritage Nursing & Rehab Center in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, with visitation one hour before the service. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Audrey was born Feb. 18, 1920, the daughter of Fred and Martha Techau in Mineola, Iowa. On Oct. 12, 1942, she was married to Carl Kent Knight.
Audrey enjoyed many hobbies, including sewing, gardening and oil painting. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Ruth Guild and Home Missionary.
Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia (Jim) Vernon of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Brian (Susan) Vernon of Clarksville, Tenn., Scott Vernon of Waterloo, Michael (Nicole) Vernon of Ankeny and Tanya Vernon of Durango, Colo.; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and eight brothers and sisters.
Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids in memory of Audrey.
