Vincent, Wilma
Wilma Vincent, 81, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Living Center West, Cedar Rapids. Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cedar Rapids, conducted by the Rev. William B. Harnish. Family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Gale Porter of Cedar Rapids, Dale (Debra) Vincent of Lincoln, N.D., and Dr. James (Kathryn) Vincent of Wichita, Kan.; grandchildren, Michelle Wehr, Corey Vincent, Cassie Buehner, Aaron Porter, Jarrod Porter, Michael Vincent and Matthew Vincent; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother, Charles (Donna) Flint of Delhi, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Vincent; parents, Dail and Fern Flint; and brothers, Virgil and Kenneth Flint.
Wilma was born Oct. 30, 1931, in Hannibal, Mo., daughter Dail and Fern (Moss) Flint. She was employed at Halmark and was a waitress at Chat n Chew Diner. Wilma moved to Cedar Rapids in 1955. She also enjoyed selling antiques with her husband and creative writing.
Memorials may be directed to Living Center West in Wilma's honor.
