Van Meter will host clean energy conference Oct. 14

CEDAR RAPIDS -- Van Meter Inc. will host its second annual thinkGREEN conference on Oct. 14 in Cedar Rapids.
The event is designed for facility managers, engineers, architects, contractors and executives from all types of businesses. The conference will include 35 educational sessions to choose from, a keynote luncheon address and a green product trade show.
Topics that will be covered during the event include industry trends, LED lighting, solar, distributed wind, daylight harvesting, electric vehicle charging stations, data technology, power monitoring systems, motors, belts and drives, submetering, thermal imaging, recycling and building code.
Keynote speaker Christian Siebens, director of clean energy for Affiliated Distributors, will discuss emerging “Clean” technologies and the environmental and financial benefits clean energy solutions can provide.
The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hotel at Kirkwood Center in Cedar Rapids. Cost to attend is $59 per person, which includes continental breakfast, lunch, educational sessions and access to the exhibitor trade show.
