Adam Hentges, 38, of
Cedar Rapids, died Friday, April 13, 2018.
Adam was born in Algona, Iowa, to Gordie and Frances (Bass) Hentges. Adam was an active person who enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. He was a huge Harley-Davidson enthusiast. In his free time, Adam could be found working on and helping others with home improvement projects, socializing on a bowling league and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his parents; sister, Amanda; close friend, Amber Wisted; former wife, Cryssi, and her children, Josh, Ashlyn, Alexis and Damien; grandmother, June Hentges; aunt, Donna (Jack); and children, Nicole and Jacob; uncle, Dwayne; uncle, Brian; aunt, Loleta (Archie); and son, Aaron and family.
Adam was preceded in death by his grandfather, Howard; grandparents, Bill and Margie Bass; and uncle, Jim Bass.
A visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Adam's name to Prairie High School Activities Office, Prairie Bowling, 401 76th Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404.
