My wife and I take the Cedar Rapids Gazette. We have for years. Of course, it's the only game in town. We do know that the newspaper politically leans left of center. However, that is their prerogative.
Over the last few years, I have noticed that editorialist Todd Dorman must have a vendetta against Gov. Terry Branstad.
His commentaries sound like an attack dog with overkill on any subject pertaining to the work trying to be accomplished at the State House in Des Moines.
Dorman is always negative and can't find anything positive to say when it comes to any ideas, plans, or positions the governor takes or looks to take.
I personally believe Dorman is never evenhanded when it comes to writing about the governor and just downright loves to disparage him as much as possible.
The powers that be at the top of the newspaper should note, in the long run, this won't help The Gazette's credibility.
