David B. Miller, 49, of Coralville, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Dave was born May 22, 1965, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to George R. and Nancy Graf Miller. In school he enjoyed sports. He graduated from Mid-Prairie High School in 1983.
David will be remembered as being very loyal to his family, friends and those fortunate enough to employ him. He enjoyed fishing with his friends, mushroom hunting and all types of sports, especially Los Angeles Lakers basketball and Cubs baseball. His sense of humor, smile and friendly nature enabled him to build many steadfast friendships over the years.
David's survivors include his mother; brother, Steven (Lori) Miller of Toddville; stepmother, Deb (Stan) McCreedy of Ainsworth; stepsister, Maria (Greg) Hanson of Coralville; aunts and uncles, Ann (Lester) Schmitt, Rose Marie (Ken) Slagle, Bonnie (Bob) Baker, Jerry (Linda) Huffman and Ron (Lynn) Graf; and many loving cousins and supportive friends.
Preceding him in death was his father and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 4, at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman. Burial will be in the Wellman Cemetery.
