Bevans, David G.
David G. Bevans, 59 of North Liberty, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in North Liberty. Visitation for the family will be from 5 to 6 p.m. and for the public, after 6 p.m. until the services at the church. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Dave's memory.

David Garland Bevans was born July 5, 1950, in Pix Town, S.D., the son of James and Ida (Eagle) Bevans. His family moved from Pix Town to Andrew, where he attended schools graduating from high school there. On Oct. 3, 1969, he married Robin L. Becicka in Davenport. He has spent many years in North Liberty, where he was in the tree service profession, Larimer-Bevans Tree Surgery Company. Dave enjoyed life, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and boating. He was a coach for North Liberty Little League during the years his boys were growing up. As his son said, Dad would do anything for his family, as they were his world!
His family includes his two sons and their wives, Shay and Kristina Bevans and Brian and Angi Bevans; his mother, Ida B. Bevans; seven grandchildren, Monika, Zackary, Lauren, Brianne, Alex, Andrew, and Kaylin; former wife, Robin Bevans–Vollbrecht; and eight siblings, Nadine Moore, Pat Bevans, Trisha Allman, Mike Bevans, Debbie Hamer, Mark Bevans, Tim Bevans, and Paul Bevans.
David was preceded in death by his father; brother, “Joe” Bill Bevans; and brother-in-law, Eugene Moore.
