CEDAR RAPIDS - The Marion school board on Thursday morning will announce the district's next superintendent.
The board has scheduled a work session for 7:45 a.m. Thursday in the district's boardroom to approve the superintendent's contract.
Two finalists for the position, Joseph Dyer and Michael Houselog, had second interviews last week. Dyer is from New York; Houselog is from Illinois.
The next superintendent will start in July after current superintendent Sarah Pinion retires June 30. Pinion announced her retirement in January and has led the Marion Independent School District since 2009.
